Victory in the two-crew race “Vuelta a la Costa del Sol

It was a magnificent race organised by the Real Club Náutico del Candado in the format of only two crew members with 6 stages between Malaga, Estepona, Malaga, Nerja, Malaga.

Very good conditions of west gradient wind that gave us the opportunity to squeeze our J99 boat to the maximum, in all types of winds as well as testing our inventory of North Sails sails. The ease of manoeuvrability of this boat, gave us the opportunity to take it almost all the time to maximum performance, despite the constant changes in wind, compared to larger boats that paid for the difficulty of handling larger sails.

Thanks to Johannes Goizueta, my crew member, who gave everything during the whole Championship and we took advantage of his experience in J80 to get the maximum performance from our boat and congratulations to the Real Club Nautico del Candado and its team for the magnificent organization work that I have no doubt will be a success in the next years.
