The 2026 ORC Double-Handed European Championship officially kicks off on 1 March 2026 in Altea, as part of the 40th edition of the legendary 200 Millas A2. The event is organized by Club Náutico de Altea in collaboration with the Offshore Racing Congress.

A total of 53 boats from six countries will compete, confirming the regatta’s status as the most demanding winter offshore race in the Mediterranean and marking the official start of the 2026 international ORC season.

A historic milestone

Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the 200 Millas A2 has evolved from a national challenge into one of Europe’s leading double-handed offshore championships, attracting top sailors drawn by its technical complexity and physical endurance.

Key sporting program

  • Tuesday, 3 March (12:00) – Short coastal offshore race (8–10 hours)

  • Thursday, 5 March (12:00) – Start of the 200 Millas A2 (Altea – Ibiza – Formentera – Altea), lasting approximately 48–60 hours

  • Saturday, 7 March (20:00) – Official prize-giving ceremony

The competition is divided into Classes A, B, and C, crowning the 2026 ORC Double-Handed European Champions, alongside special trophies and the traditional silver ingots awarded to top finishers of the 200 Millas A2.
